How we handle the information you send us through this website.

Who we are

BeCompliant provides FIC compliance services to South African accountable institutions. We are the responsible party for the personal information you submit through this website.

What we collect

Through the general contact form: your name, company, email address, telephone number and your message. Through the compliance questionnaire: your business and registration details, compliance officer details, ownership and director information, branch and file-storage details, and your answers about your current compliance processes and risks.

Why we collect it

Solely to respond to your enquiry and to prepare and deliver compliance-related services, including your Risk Assessment and Risk and Compliance Management Programme (RMCP). We do not sell your information and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.

How it is stored and shared

Submissions are transmitted to our team by email over an encrypted connection and retained only as long as needed for the purpose above or as required by law. Information may be verified against external records such as SARS, CIPC and your regulatory authority. We do not share your information with third parties other than where required by law or by the Financial Intelligence Centre.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, request that it be corrected or deleted, or object to its processing. Email amorette.bowes@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Security

This website uses spam protection, server-side validation and rate limiting on its forms. While no online transmission can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
